What Are The SIX DIRTIEST PARTS Of The Human Body?

Human body has a marvelous design. It is so complex that even up to this day, there are some parts that we still don’t know how exactly they function.

Some parts of the human body gather more dirt and germs due to their location and shape. You can easily guess some of them. However there are still some parts that may surprise you when you hear them.

Now, let’s take a look at the dirtiest parts of the human body.

1. Belly button

Belly button is one of the most overlooked areas of the body. This cavity always requires a thorough cleaning. Because it collects nastier things than cotton lint. An unwashed belly button can easily turn into an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. If bacteria are allowed to breed in your belly button, this can lead to a bad smell and in some cases, infection.

To keep your belly button clean, wash your whole navel with soap first. Then use cotton swabs for the inner part. Don’t forget to dry it as the moisture may bring more bacteria.

2. Behind the ears

When we talk about ear cleaning the first place that comes to mind is the inside of the ear. You must have heard doctor warnings about why we must not push q-tips in our ear canal. Doing this may not only push ear wax deeper, but also puncture ear drum. Fortunately, this is common knowledge now and almost everybody abides by these health rules.

But the real problem is hidden behind the ear. This area is somewhat hidden therefore gather bacteria. Our skin secrete sebum all the time to keep a steady moisture level. This secretion can create a foul odor if uncleaned. So the next time you have a bath don’t forget to clean behind your ears with soap.

3. Mouth

Most people think how dirty their mouth can be when they start having a bad breath. This is true to some extent. However, you may already have a dirty mouth full of bacteria without a bad breath. And I mean lots of bacteria.

The mouth is surely the dirtiest part of the human body in regards to the bacteria. There are probably more than 700 species of bacteria crawling inside your mouth right now. And a single mouth can be a home to more than 6 million bacteria.

According to a new study, kissing for only 10 seconds could transfer up to 80 million bacteria. Luckily most of these bacteria are not harmful.

The most dangerous bacteria that can be found in the mouth is the Streptococcus which feeds on sugar and carbohydrates that you consume. Then it produces toxic acids which harm your tooth enamel.

That’s the reason why dentists recommend brushing twice a day.

4. Tongue

A piece of what you eat always ends up sticking to your tongue. From coffee and tea to a simple sandwich, you know some of it stays there. You can easily tell this by looking at your painted tongue after drinking a strong coffee.

Bacteria accumulate in the tiny crevices of the tongue. The rough surface of the tongue makes it easier for the bacteria to stick to.

Your tooth brush is the best tool for eliminating bacteria. We highly recommend brushing your tongue after you are finished brushing your teeth.

5. Back

Maybe because it is hard to reach the back, we often ignore washing it. Ironically it gets lots of water in the bathroom creating a fake feeling that we washed it pretty good. However the back is an area that needs special attention.

As a result of spending a lot of time in sweaty clothes and lying on our back, the pores and glands in the back get clogged. So an unwashed back can lead to acne and pimples.

So the next time you are in the shower ask your spouse or partner to wash your back for you. If there is no one to help you with that, you can get a back scrubber to make sure it is clean.

6. Hands

One of the most important hygiene rules is to wash hands regularly and everybody knows that, right? It may seem unnecessary to focus on such a common knowledge on a separate title. Well, according to the Journal of Environmental Health it is not. Because studies show that 95% of people don’t know how to wash their hands properly.

You need to wash your hands with soap at least for 20 seconds, especially when you are in school or office or any other public areas. When you wash hands make sure that soapy water gets under your nails. So simple yet effective.
